Brief History Of LinkedIn
Here is a little history about LinkedIn. It’s good to know how a website got started. That way you will be able to tell if it might help you. There are a lot of fly by night websites that don’t make it. So it’s good to know a little bit about what you are getting yourself into.

How To Use LinkedIn?
A lot of people and me included asking these questions about the use of LinkedIn. What is the point of LinkedIn? People I work with already know my email address, so why should I join? How can LinkedIn help my business? I asked the same question before joining LinkedIn.
Here is a fact about LinkedIn. Pew research says that the kind of people that are on this network are well educated. Most of them have a Bachelor degree or higher. On top of that, most of them make over $75,000 a year and more. These are the kind of people that you want to be connected with.
LinkedIn is great especially if you are looking for a job and submit a resume. Nowadays, when they look at your resume, best likely they will check out your LinkedIn profile. That way they can see what kind of people you are connected with and what it is like to work with you. So, even if you don’t think you will use LinkedIn all that much, it is still better to go ahead and open an account.
When people go to your LinkedIn account, the first thing they usually look at is your profile page. Before connecting with you, they want to see what kind of person you are. Make sure that your profile page is findable and visually appealing to people.
Make sure you have an appealing profile image. Have a good headline title. Take your time and write out your profile page. Don’t miss anything, fill in every space.
If you have more than 1 job, put them in there. Write out a good description of each job. It’s like my profile, which I will be updating soon. I work for a delivery service. Also, I do mystery shopping. When I have my own website. I should include all three of these in my profile.
After you have completed your profile, start looking for people. You can search for friends, co-workers and other people that have the same interests as you. Then, you can send them an invitation to connect with you.
When you receive invitations, don’t just connect with anyone. Take a look at their profile first. She if they sound legit and will be helpful in you moving forward.
You will have more connection and get great information for whatever you might be looking for if you stay active. So keep your page active and always stay in touch with your connections.
Start Or Join Groups
You can join groups or you can start your own group.
When joining groups, you need to make sure it’s relevant to your interests. Plus, most groups might not let you join unless it makes sense to what you have to offer.
If you start a group or groups, make sure that people who ask to join will be relevant to your interests. Some people will join just to get their brand known. Most of those will probably be spam. You don’t want that.
Whenever you post a new blog on your website, share it with the proper groups that you have joined. This will help promote your website better and more people will come to your website.
These are 3 great ways that you can you LinkedIn and get your website out there.
