Tips To Promote Your Website

Hello, welcome to Blog Central. This is where you learn about promoting your website using Images and Videos.

Do you ever wonder how you can promote your website? There are so many different ways. You really need to take it slowly, learn the different ways. My last post was on Social Media. I wrote about, what I think, to be the 3 major Social Media sites. Facebook, Twitter and Google+

Images, add them. People like pictures.

Now we go down a different road. I guess you could call it different. What I will discuss could be considered Social Media. Just a different kind. The 2 tips are:

  1. Images
  2. Videos

Yes, that’s it, Images and videos can go a long way in telling a story. Admit it, don’t a blog or post look better with images and Videos? At least, for me it does.

I’ll discuss 3 sites with you to get you started. Those are these:

Videos are the craze of today.
  1. Instagram
  2. Pinterest
  3. YouTube

Instagram, I’m still new to. Trying to get it together, though. Pinterest, I’ve been with for a little while. Most of what I learn with Pinterest, I learned from Wealthy Affiliate and its members. YouTube, I know a little more about that and of course who has not messed with YouTube? The only thing is that making Videos is new to me. But hey, have to learn new things.

Instagram, Instagram is a great way for people to recognize your work. You can promote your website with images. Instagram is more of a phone app. At least, what I heard is that Instagram is mainly used my people with smart phones and I-phones.

History of Instagram

Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010 as a free mobile app. Instagram is growing at a rapid rate. In April of 2012, Instagram had well over a 100 million active users. In December 2014, it had over 300 million active users.

The service was acquired by Facebook in April 2012. Instagram grew by 23% While Facebook, as the parent company only grew by 3% in 2013.

Think about it for a moment. With that many people on Instagram, that’s a big audience.

Put up images, use Instagram

How to Promote on your Website

The great thing about Instagram, you can make short videos and Images. When putting images, mix them up. You don’t want to bore people with just the business aspect of Instagram. You also want to put fun images, let people know you. That’s how you get a following and people enjoy you more as a person. The trust will be there.

You want to build a following just like any other Social Media sites. I suggest connecting your Facebook account. Use popular hashtags people are looking for. Engage by following others, like their photos. Show them you are interested in what they have to offer.

With Instagram, you can make 15-second videos. Make it short and sweet. Introduce yourself and your website. You can do that in 15-second. Put some of the Videos on your website and blogs.

These are a few tips on how to utilize Instagram. Try them and watch your business grow.

My Information

If you don’t have an Instagram account, I would advise you to open one up. It might take a while, but you put the work into it and using Instagram will go a long way for you. Here is my account information, follow me and, of course, I will follow you.

Pinterest, yes, Pinterest is all images. It’s useless if you don’t have any images on your website. So if you don’t have any images, start searching and putting them on your site.

When I first signed up with Pinterest, I didn’t know what the point of this was. Never went to it again until I joined Wealthy Affiliate. Kyle explains the point of Pinterest and how to use it. Now I have the app on my phone.

History of Pinterest

Pinterest was founded by Ben Silbermann. Pinterest was first developed in December 2009. Pinterest launched as a closed beta in March 2010. Silbermann wrote to the first 5,000 people who joined and offered his service, gave them his personal phone number and even met with some of them.

A great place to share your images

Nine months after launch the website had 10,000 users and still growing. I pretty much like it and enjoy it more.

How to Promote Your Website

With Pinterest, it does take a while to get followers. Slowly I get people starting to follow me. I’m up to 263, now that I got the app on my phone, I can interact with other people images when I have time throughout the day. What makes all this cool is it is all images.

The setup is easy, you can make different boards and keep all your pins organized. The best way to get followers is to start liking others pins. You can actually build an audience using Pinterest. Also, you can find all kinds of pins for whatever niche you are into.

When putting up pins, after every post that you write, you can go to Pinterest. Click to add new pins, copy and paste your website with the post and the images you have on that posts can be pinned. When people click on your pins it will direct them to your website.

So with Pinterest, you can get people to like your site. Everybody loves pictures, and to be able to click on them is the coolest part of Pinterest.

History of YouTube

YouTube began when three former PayPal employees started to create a video-sharing website. With that, YouTube was created on February 14, 2005. Their names are Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim.

How to Promote your Website

YouTube is probably the best free way to promote your website. Making videos. That is so cool. Back in my days making videos were unheard of, but now it’s a reality.

I’m new to making videos and only have a few at the moment, but I’m gonna start increasing that.

People love videos, especially if you make it interesting. You can make them with your phone, tablet, webcams, and camcorders. Make it fun, make it eye-catching.  You need to get people to subscribe to your channel. That is the first thing you need to do is create your own channel. Look for videos in your niche and start subscribing to their channels.

I make most of my videos from my phone. I go to edit after I upload it fills in the empty spaces, such as the Description and tags. Add a description, you can put a link directing back to your website. Make sure to add keywords to the title of your video and make a couple of tags. You can get ranked with your videos.

So do what you can and start using YouTube, there are benefits.

My Information

If you don’t have an account, I advise you to get one. With an account and having your own channel, you can monetize your videos. When uploading your video, hit the monetization tab and check the monetize with ads box. That will allow YouTube to put ads in your video. You can also add Google AdSense. here is my channel if you want to subscribe to it. Subscribe to it if my niche fits yours.
